The trailer for Loveyapa, featuring Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor, dropped on Friday, offering a glimpse into a Gen Z love story that takes a dramatic turn when secrets are unveiled.
In the two-minute-47-second trailer, Junaid’s character, Gaurav, and Khushi’s Baani are shown enjoying the highs of a playful relationship, until a challenge from Baani’s father, played by Ashutosh Rana, shakes the foundation of their bond. He asks the couple to exchange phones for a day to test the strength of their love.
As the phone swap unravels hidden truths—shocking text messages, past relationships, and concealed secrets—the couple’s seemingly perfect relationship faces misunderstandings, insecurities, and confusion.
Directed by Advait Chandan, known for his work on Secret Superstar and Laal Singh Chaddha, Loveyapa explores the challenges of modern relationships in a digital age.
The film is produced by Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment and presented by Zee Studios. Loveyapa is set to hit theaters on February 7.
Khushi Kapoor, who made her acting debut in Zoya Akhtar’s 2023 Netflix film The Archies, takes on her first mainstream Bollywood role in this film. Meanwhile, Junaid Khan, who entered the industry with this year’s Maharaj alongside Jaideep Ahlawat, continues to make his mark.
With an engaging premise and a relatable take on modern love, Loveyapa promises to be a refreshing addition to Gen Z rom-coms.
