Actress Tabu has officially announced her next project, joining the star-studded cast of Akshay Kumar‘s highly anticipated horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla.
Taking to Instagram, Tabu revealed the news by sharing a picture of the movie’s clapperboard with “Bhooth Bangla” written on it. Her caption, “Hum yahan bandh hain (We are locked inside),” left fans intrigued. While rumors of her involvement had been circulating for some time, this marks the first official confirmation.

According to reports, Tabu will play a pivotal role in the film, which boasts an ensemble cast. Recently, Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal shared a glimpse from the Jaipur schedule on social media.
On X (formerly Twitter), Paresh Rawal posted a behind-the-scenes photo featuring Akshay Kumar basking in the winter sun, shirtless, while Paresh sat beside him. The veteran actor captioned the picture, “A shining star enjoying winter sun at Jaipur with Mr FIT @akshaykumar on the shoot of Bhooth Bangla!” Akshay reshared the post, adding, “It is an amazing day on set…good weather and great company!”

Adding an extra layer of excitement, Bhooth Bangla is said to have a connection with Akshay Kumar’s popular franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
The film is produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor under the Balaji Telefilms banner, in collaboration with Akshay Kumar’s Cape of Good Films. Co-producers include Faara Sheikh and Vedant Baali.
The story, penned by Akash A Kaushik, is brought to life through a screenplay by Rohan Shankar, Abilash Nair, and legendary filmmaker Priyadarshan. Dialogues are written by Rohan Shankar, ensuring the film strikes the perfect balance of horror and comedy.
Joining the cast alongside Akshay Kumar and Tabu are Paresh Rawal, Wamiqa Gabbi, Rajpal Yadav, and Govardhan Asrani, all set to deliver noteworthy performances.
